Sandile's Rest is situated 22 km southeast of Stutterheim in the Eastern Cape, nestled in the foothills of the Amathole Mountains and surrounded by some of South Africa’s oldest trout waters. This tranquil retreat offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure for all types of travellers. The property features luxurious Canadian-inspired log cabins that vary in size but each offer en-suite bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, beautiful views, and private firepits for those dreamy evenings under the stars. With 108 hectares of Gubu Dam and a nearby 9-hectare Maden Dam available for fly fishing, guests can indulge in world-class trout and bass fishing experiences. The farm is also home to abundant local wildlife and over 100 bird species, including the rare Cape parrot. Scenic walks through indigenous forests and plantations provide opportunities to spot a variety of tree species, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts.

  • Log Cabin 4: Offering one bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom, this cabin features a living area with a fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. French doors lead to a private deck with forest views.
  • Log Cabin 5: This 4-sleeper cabin overlooks the indigenous forest with two en-suite bedrooms each having French doors leading to private decks. The large living area includes a fireplace and fully equipped kitchen.
