Elandspoort Private Game Reserve offers an authentic South African experience set between two stunning mountain ranges and bordering the magnificent Baviaanskloof. The vast landscape provides a serene atmosphere complemented by warm hospitality. Each corner of this farm is unique, featuring rock art from the Bushman, natural water springs, and a small waterfall in the rainy season. Guests can explore diverse fauna and flora, including indigenous trees, flowers, fynbos, birds, tortoises, and smaller game, alongside larger animals such as eland, gemsbuck, giraffe, kudu, sable, nyala, zebra, blesbuck, springbok, ostrich, and more. The reserve is ideal for those seeking a slow-paced adventure with opportunities to hike, bike, or simply stargaze.

Rooms & Features

  • River Lodge: The River Lodge accommodates up to 10 guests in an off-grid setting within the game camp. It features one large bedroom with a queen-size bed and two additional bedrooms next to it—one with a queen bed and another with two single beds, each equipped with an outside shower and toilet. The main building includes an open-plan living area with a fireplace, kitchen, bar/entertainment space, and patio. Two permanent tent structures are available 100m from the main building for larger groups of 10 guests.
  • Farm House: The Farmhouse is located outside the game camp, 9km away from the River Lodge, accommodating up to 6 guests in three bedrooms each with queen beds and two single beds. The en suite bathroom features a walk-in shower, double wash basin, and toilet.

  • Game Viewing: Guests can observe an array of wildlife including eland, gemsbuck, giraffe, kudu, sable, nyala, zebra, blesbuck, springbok, ostrich, and more. Guided game drives are available with experienced guides who tailor the experience to your preferences.
  • Hiking & Stargazing: Explore the reserve on foot or by bicycle, taking in the natural beauty of rock art, water springs, canyons, and diverse flora and fauna. The clear night skies offer an ideal setting for stargazing.
