Year-End Debriefing Session 2026- Making Psychology Work for You: Reflecting on Our Journey and Exploring New Possibilities

PsychJoy Year-End Debriefing Session 2026

Making Psychology Work for You: Reflecting on Our Journey and Exploring New Possibilities

Getting a qualification is a milestone. Entering the professional space is another. But what happens when you reach these milestones and are still figuring out what comes next?

The journey into and through psychology looks different for everyone. Whether you are a student, a graduate navigating postgraduate applications, an emerging professional or an established practitioner, there may be moments when you encounter setbacks, feel uncertain or need to reconsider your next steps.

Join PsychJoy for our Year-End Debriefing Session, an opportunity to reflect on the year, share experiences and explore possibilities for the journey ahead.

Through a facilitated discussion, guided reflection and practical insights, we will explore the realities of navigating a psychology career, finding your feet and identifying ways to move forward. We will also consider ethical income streams and professional boundaries, including how to approach opportunities responsibly while building a sustainable career connected to psychology.

Together, we will acknowledge the year's lessons, recognise our progress and consider what we want to carry into the year ahead.

What to expect

- Ethical Income Streams and Professional Boundaries: Reflecting on responsible ways to explore opportunities connected to psychology.

- Open Discussion: Exploring setbacks, uncertainty, career transitions and what it means to find your feet at different stages of the journey.

- Our Year in Reflection: Acknowledging challenges, recognising growth and identifying meaningful next steps.

Whether you are still exploring your options or have already taken significant steps in your career, this is an opportunity to learn from different experiences, reflect on your own journey and consider new possibilities.

You do not have to have everything figured out. The journey is your own, and there is value in taking time to understand where you are and where you would like to go.

Who should attend?

Psychology students, graduates, emerging and established professionals, practitioners across relevant professional pathways, and anyone interested in building a meaningful and sustainable career connected to psychology.
