WONDERBOOM

Thirty years ago, WONDERboom kicked down the door of South Africa s alternative scene with distortion pedals blazing and hips already locked into a groove that refused to behave. Three decades later, the ears are still ringing.

Born in Joburg and bonded by brotherhood, this dynamic quartet; the self-styled WONDERbrothers, have built a legacy on chemistry that crackles both on and off stage. It s that rare alchemy that turns a tight rock band into something more dangerous: a live-wire organism. Rock, funk, punk, a flash of afro-dance; WONDERboom never asked permission to mix it up. They simply owned it, night after night, city after city, continent after continent.

Frontman Cito says it best: Thirty years of WONDERboom and I'm done counting. Time has been wild. It seems to move fast and not care. But somehow, we re still here, still shaking our asses, still making songs that mean something to us. None of this matters, though, without new music, without pushing this roller-coaster forward. Having said this, a massive love to everyone who s ridden with us through every scene and every left turn unstoned.

BOO!

In a span of seven years, BOO! amassed a devoted global following through a relentless touring schedule, performing a staggering 800 gigs across 17 countries, including notable appearances at European and American festivals alongside renowned acts like White Stripes, Limp Bizkit, and Cypress Hill. Their self-proclaimed genre of "monkipunk" captivated audiences, earning them accolades such as the South African Music Award (SAMA) for 'Best Pop Album' in 2002.

Despite an unconventional lineup devoid of guitars, BOO! soared to the top of the charts with hits like "Stagefright" and "OOAA," showcasing frontman Chris Chameleon's exceptional songwriting prowess. In 2004, founding members Ampie Omo and Leon Retief bid farewell to BOO!, paving the way for new beginnings.

Now performing as a duo, Chris Chameleon en Riaan Van Rensburg bring you electrifying performances and unwavering commitment to artistic integrity, BOO! continues to captivate audiences, reaffirming their status as one of South Africa's most cherished musical treasures.
