This year, the Wildflower Stepping Stones Project is taking our Wildflower Walks to another level.
In the past, we've only walked in Kenridge and in Van Riebeeckshof - but this year, we're adding a BRAND NEW Protea Valley walk. What's more, the Van Riebeeckshof walk will include a special focus on birdlife, while the Protea Valley walk will focus on the animals we share our urban habitat with.
It's going to be a fabulous spring for conservation!
The Route
Park at Protea Valley church, opposite the Majik Forest shopping centre. From there, we'll make our way up to Boschendal park, where we'll see several Wildflower Stepping Stones along the way - and if we're lucky, the resident Jackal Buzzards who call this area home. Keep your eyes peeled for Plovers, weavers, Cape Spurfowl and a shrike while a carpet of pink sorrels, tiny stars blooming between the grass and flowers you've probably never noticed, welcome Spring with open blooms.
