About

Touch The Future Walk 1st Edition

Walk for Opportunity. Walk for Change.

South Africa's youth unemployment challenge leaves millions of talented young people locked out of economic participation, often because of systemic disconnects and limited professional networks. The Touch The Future Walk is built to bridge that gap: one morning where job seekers, learners, employers, skills providers, government and industry stakeholders walk the same road and connect as people.

The walk is paired with an interactive career expo, so the morning leads to real, meaningful pathways into work and growth.

Choose your distance

  • 5KM The open road. For families, first-timers and anyone who wants to be part of the morning.
  • 10KM The steady stride. A proper morning's walk for regular walkers, teams and colleagues.
  • 23KM The long one. Twenty-three kilometres for 23 January. The challenge route for experienced walkers.

It is a walk, not a race. Go at your own pace.

Tickets

  • Adults (13 and up): R250
  • Kids (12 and under): R120
  • Same price for every distance. Choose your route when you book.
  • Schools, companies and community groups: ask us about group bookings at touchyourfuture.co.za

At the career expo

  • On-site recruitment activations, learnerships, internships and bursary pathways.
  • Direct interaction between job seekers and corporate decision-makers, on equal footing.

Who should walk

  • Job seekers and graduates: meet the people and organisations who hire, train and mentor.
  • Learners and students: see where your studies can take you.
  • Employers and skills providers: show young South Africans that your door is open, and walk with your team.
  • Families and supporters: walk for your child, your community or yourself.
