Stitching Heritage | Chapter Two: Indian Heritage Textiles
Join us for the second chapter of Stitching Heritage, a series exploring the diverse cultures and communities that have shaped the Cape through the histories of colonisation, apartheid and forced displacement.
Through Indian heritage textiles and the art of Palestinian tatreez, we ll explore the journeys, stories and cultural exchanges woven into cloth. The morning includes storytelling and dialogue with guest historian Abdud-Daiyaan Petersen and community knowledge bearers, followed by a hands-on creative session.
