Pink October 2026 - Breast Cancer Awareness Fun Walk/Run

Arbour Arch is pleased to invite learners, parents and members of the community to participate in our 5km Fun Walk/Run, taking place at the end of October on the Arbour Arch 5km walking/running trail. The event is intended to promote health, wellness, community participation and an active lifestyle in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Event: Arbour Arch 5km Fun Walk / Run.

Date: End of October.

Time: 10:00 13:00.

Venue: Arbour Arch 5km Trail.

Participants: Learners, parents and community members.

Child entry fee R50 per child (12 years old or younger).

Adult entry fee R100 per adult.

General Terms and Conditions

1. Participation is voluntary and each participant takes responsibility for deciding whether they are fit and able to

complete the walk/run.

2. Participants must follow all reasonable instructions given by event organisers, marshals, security personnel and

emergency or medical staff.

3. Participants must remain on the designated route and must not interfere with other participants, visitors,

tenants, vehicles or property.

4. No reckless, aggressive, abusive or dangerous conduct will be permitted.

5. Participants must respect the Arbour Arch premises, trail, landscaping, facilities and other members of the

public.

6. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to, remove or disqualify any participant who breaches these

terms and conditions or behaves in a manner that may endanger themselves or others.

7. The event may be postponed, shortened, altered or cancelled due to severe weather, safety concerns,

operational requirements or circumstances beyond the organisers reasonable control.

8. Participants must report any injury, illness, unsafe condition or incident to an event marshal or organiser as

soon as possible.

9. The organisers will take reasonable steps to support a safe event; however, participation in a physical activity

carries inherent risks, including slips, trips, falls, fatigue, dehydration and other injury.

10. Any photographs or video recordings taken during the event may be used for legitimate event, community and

marketing purposes, subject to applicable privacy and child-protection requirements. A parent or guardian may

notify the organisers in writing if they do not consent to identifiable images of their child being used.
