Old Friends (with guitars & percussion)

Enjoy a chilled pre-luncheon performance featuring 3 good, long-time friends and legendary South African musicians: Des Lindberg, Steve Newman and Eugene van Pletzen. They have graced South African and international stages over decades and have recently delighted audiences along the Garden Route with their combined show. They'll be doing well-known covers together as well as their own, solo items.

• Steve Newman, one of South Africa's finest musical treasures - his project, Tananas, has played concerts/festivals on nearly all the world s continents including Asia, Africa, the US, Europe, and Australia.
• Des Lindberg, South African Troubadour for 60 years and more and married to Dawn for 55 years, will entertain you with his stories and well-known South African Songs like Die Gezoem van die Bye and Kleinhuisie. He had many number one hits on Springbok Radio. He has starred alongside many prestigious artists like Spike Milligan and Steve Newman and co-produced GODSPELL, playing John the Baptist and Judas in in the year-long tour of the Musical.
• Eugene Van Pletzen, a percussionist, drummer and lover of swung rhythms and the stories they tell and has made a name for himself playing with legendary artists such as Steve Newman and many others.

Sip a glass of wine while you enjoy the music and then linger in the gardens or the pavilion and enjoy a 'BYO' picnic lunch. Tables and chairs will be provided.
