Koorklanke vul die Taalmonument se Amfiteater

Elf skole laat hul stemme hoor tydens jaarlikse koorfees

Die Afrikaanse Taalmuseum en -monument (ATM) se geliefde skoolkoorfees vind op VRYDAG 9 OKTOBER 2026 plaas wanneer die Amfiteater sal weergalm met die helder stemme van talentvolle koorsangers wat byeenkom om hul liefde vir musiek en koorsang te vier.

Die veeltalige koorfees bied aan skole en kore n unieke geleentheid om in n nie-mededingende atmosfeer hul liefde vir musiek te deel, nuwe kontakte op te bou en die vreugde van koorsang saam met hul families en belangstellendes te vier.

Vanjaar neem Klein Nederburg Sekond re Skoolkoor, Ho rskool Brackenfell Meisieskoor, Laer Meisieskool La Rochelle Juniorkoor, Laer Meisieskool La Rochelle Seniorkoor, Laerskool Totius Seniorkoor, Laerskool Paulus Joubert Seniorkoor, Laerskool Drakenstein Juniorkoor, Laerskool Noord-Eind Seniorkoor, Paarl Meisies Prim re Skool Juniorkoor, Laerskool Paarl Gimnasium Skoolkoor en Lyrikos Gemeenskapskoor deel.

Die hekke open om 17:00 en die kooroptredes begin om 18:00. Kos- en drinkgoedstalletjies, asook veilige parkering, sal beskikbaar wees. Besoekers word aangeraai om warm klere saam te bring.

Eleven schools raise their voices at annual choir festival

The Afrikaans Language Museum and Monument (ATM s) much-loved school choir festival takes place on FRIDAY, 9 OCTOBER 2026, when the Amphitheatre will reverberate with the clear voices of talented choir singers gathering to celebrate their love for music and choral singing.

The multilingual choir festival offers schools a unique opportunity to share their love of music in a non-competitive atmosphere, to create new connections, and to celebrate the joy of choral singing together with families and supporters.

This year, the participating schools are Klein Nederburg Sekond re Skoolkoor, Ho rskool Brackenfell Meisieskoor, Laer Meisieskool La Rochelle Juniorkoor, Laer Meisieskool La Rochelle Seniorkoor, Laerskool Totius Seniorkoor, Laerskool Paulus Joubert Seniorkoor, Laerskool Drakenstein Juniorkoor, Laerskool Noord-Eind Seniorkoor, Paarl Meisies Prim re Skool Juniorkoor, Laerskool Paarl Gimnasium Skoolkoor en Lyrikos Gemeenskapskoor.

Gates open at 17:00 and the choir performances begin at 18:00. Food and drink stalls as well as secure parking will be available. Visitors are advised to bring warm clothing.
