JMS PRESENTS POLINA OSENTINSKAYA

The JMS has celebrated a year of piano recitals and finishes the year with a grand finale featuring pianist Polina Osetinskaya who has performed with Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna s Musikverein and Concerthaus, London s Barbican Centre, Salzburg Festspiele, Carnegie hall, Sydney Opera house, as well as in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, Poland, USA, Russia and Israel.


She has appeared with musicAeterna, Mariinsky Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra among others. Onstage partners have included Teodor Currentzis, David Russell Davies, Laurent Petitgirard, Vladimir Spivakov, Andrey Boreyko, Yan Pascal Tortelier. She comes to South Africa for the first time and will also debut with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.


The Johannesburg Musical Society 2026 Series features prestigious artists from Spain, Bulgaria, Russia, Azerbaijan, France, the UK and South Africa. Eight specially curated concerts shine the spotlight squarely on pianists, with a sprinkling of strings. All the artists have won multiple competitions and are highly sought after soloists and chamber musicians.

All Concerts take place on Sunday afternoons at 15:00 in the Linder Auditorium, Wits Education Campus, Parktown. There is safe, easy to find parking and on-site refreshments of coffee, tea, wine and snacks.
