An intimate evening of music, raw emotion and spiritual depth at Kaapstad Toneelhuis.

On Saturday, 10 October, we welcome Freed Mushaga for a stripped-down acoustic rendition of his soulful, Afro-rooted music.

Drawing from the sounds of Bukavu, AfroSoul, folk and contemporary African songwriting, Freed s music carries a deep sense of spirituality and Africanness, balanced by a suave, rhythmic energy that makes it as inviting to move to as it is to listen closely.

Following his recent residency and touring journey, including a most recent stop in Wisconsin, USA, Freed brings fresh sounds and his recently released song SAMANA  to the stage.

For this special rendition, he ll be joined by Vuyo Nkasawe, Benji Anstey and Timothy Fortes.

Expect an intimate acoustic evening, with space for the voice, the words, the groove and the feeling behind the music.
