Final Retreat with Dave Reynolds & Bongani Sotshononda

A yoga class. An African Sound Journey. A cup of coffee. A concert from two of South Africa's best kept secrets.

And you.

Hercus Healing is proud to present a retreat just 30 mins from Cape Town to wrap up 2026.

Dave Reynolds is a unique character in South Africa. Known mainly as SA's leading steelpan player, he also plays Paraguayan harp and a ten-string guitar. He composes music for film and television, has performed and recorded all over the world with Hugh Masekela, Steve Newman, Pops Mohamed, Chris Tokalon, Tony Cox, Ronan Skillen, the late Gito Baloi (of Tananas), Andy Narell and many others. He's also been practicing yoga since he was 12 and meditating since he was 16.

Bongani Sotshononda is SA's top vibraphonist and jazz marimba player. He has performed and recorded with artists such as Jimmy Dludlu, the Brubeck brothers, New York vibraphonist Stefon Harris, McCoy Mrubata, Pops Mohamed, Professor Mike Campbell and the UCT Big Band and Andile Yenana (to name a few). He spends most of his time performing in Europe and the Indian ocean (Madagascar, Zanzibar, Reunion Island) so we're lucky to grab a Sunday morning with him this time.
