E&D Sports Day & Fundraiser

E&D Sports Day & Fundraiser

Dear family and friends,

You re warmly invited to our school sports day on Saturday, 21 November, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Come cheer on our incredible children in their teams, and help us raise funds for the learning environment at E&D in 2027.

What to bring

Sunscreen, hats, water bottles, picnic essentials, blankets, gazebos and umbrellas. There will be a coffee stand and a bake sale, so please bring cash.

Why we re fundraising

Unlike many schools, E&D holds only one fundraiser a year, so your support makes a real difference. This year s funds will go towards:

• New Montessori equipment for the Honeybee and Dolphins classes
• Repairs and upgrades to our jungle gym
• Repairs and upgrades to our mud kitchen

How to support us

Fundraising tickets are R55,23 each and can be bought at checkout. When you check out, please add your child s name and surname in brackets after your own, e.g. Jane Smith (Emma Smith), so we can recognise every family s contribution.

Our thank-you to supporters

Our school parents and local businesses have filled a treasure chest with goodies, just to say thanks to everyone who supports us. Take part and you could take one home!

What s inside:

• Bos Ice Tea voucher: stay cool and sip in style
• Riebeeck Cellars wine: 3 pairs, cheers!
• Pure Good lunch voucher for 4: bring the whole crew
• Holiday Art Club session with artist Monique Pelser: creative fun for little hands
• Ou Meul voucher: stock up the pantry
• One term of aftercare at E&D: a whole term of afternoon fun
• Pasture Raised chicken package: dinner sorted
• Wine opener: the perfect partner for those Riebeeck Cellars bottles
• Action camera: capture every adventure
• Large and small XD Design Bobby Anti Theft backpacks: stylish and sneaky-secure
• Mani and pedi by Requinte by Wellington: time to be pampered
• A 2-night stay at Station House Apartment, Sea Point: a seaside escape (subject to availability in 2027)

Family fundraising champion

The family that raises the most will receive either one term of complimentary aftercare or 10 days of Holiday Club in 2027. This also applies to children leaving E&D at the end of the year.

Thank you for your constant support and commitment to our school. Every contribution helps give our children a richer place to learn and play.

Warm regards,

Sophie and the E&D team

Donated gifts cannot be exchanged for cash. The aftercare and Holiday Club gifts cannot be used towards outstanding school fees or morning fees. Families leaving the school may still use the Holiday Club option but will not receive a cash refund for aftercare.
