BAYIMBA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS

Founded in 2008, the Bayimba International Festival of the Arts is the flagship event of the Bayimba Cultural Foundation and one of Uganda's leading multidisciplinary arts festivals. The festival brings together music, dance, theatre, visual arts, film, literature, and cultural experiences on a single platform, celebrating artistic excellence, creativity, and cultural exchange.

Since 2018, the festival has been hosted at Lunkulu Island, home to the Bayimba Centre for Visual and Performing Arts, providing a unique lakeside setting that inspires creativity and community engagement. Over the years, the festival has showcased an exciting mix of established and emerging artists from Uganda and around the world, fostering cross-cultural collaboration while promoting Uganda's vibrant creative sector.
