A Cut Above the Rest

A Cut Above the Rest by Claire Linda Demmer

A respectable funeral becomes a farcical scramble for a fortune when the late Miss Devonport s valuable diamonds attract some decidedly suspicious mourners. Two diamond thieves, two undercover police officers and an ambitious solicitor all have their own agendas while four guests answering to John Smith make matters increasingly confusing.

With feuding sisters, amateur vloggers uncovering family secrets and a delivery person mistaking the funeral for a baby shower, the gathering soon descends into chaos. This lively one-act comedy combines mistaken identities, greed and unexpected twists, proving that even a final farewell can be anything but peaceful.
